Photo or message updates during the stay, plus practical feedback on eating, sleeping, walks, and settling when you collect your dog.
Tell us about medication or additional care needs before booking. Transport is arranged separately.

Rates & Booking Terms
Boarding Rates
- Per night
- $70 + GST
- Final-day pickup after 2:00 pm
- Add $35 + GST
- December 20 to January 4
- Holiday surcharge of $10 per night; confirm the total and tax treatment for your dates.
Optional Daycare Before a Stay
A paid daycare day can help your dog get to know us and the home routine before a longer stay.
$50 + GST up to and including 8 hours; $60 + GST over 8 hours.
This paid daycare day is optional. We do not offer separate familiarization meetings or free trials.
Prepare for a Calm Handover
Food & Daily Routine
Bring regular food, written feeding instructions, medication if needed, and agreed familiar items. Share sleep, bathroom, walking, and comfort routines.
Admission & Safety
Current standard vaccination records, including Bordetella, are required. Veterinary exemptions are not accepted under the existing admission requirements.
Discuss anxiety, guarding, escape attempts, reactivity, and handling sensitivities honestly.
Equipment & Travel
Prepare leash, harness, collar ID, usual weather gear, vet details, emergency contacts, and pickup information.
Confirm drop-off timing for YVR travel; traffic and route affect the journey. Transport is a separate discussion.
Cat Boarding on Request
We can also consider cat boarding on request, subject to suitability and availability. Contact Ken and Yvonne with your dates and your cat’s routine to discuss arrangements and a separate quote. The dog boarding rates and admission details on this page apply to dogs.

Leave a clear care handoff
Prepare a private two-page summary of your dog’s usual routine and the arrangements the caregiver has confirmed. Use the sections relevant to walking, daycare, boarding or planned transport.
What to put in your care notes
- Usual meals, water, bathroom routine, walks and familiar cues.
- What helps your dog rest, and triggers or handling needs to discuss.
- Health changes or care needs the provider must confirm.
- Owner, backup and veterinary contacts, with the agreed emergency process.
- Both handoffs, approved items, and questions still to resolve.
Example: “Wait at doors means pause before opening. Quiet rest after lunch helps. Please confirm whether the usual routine can be followed.”
