What Your Dog’s Day Includes
Familiar Company
Care with Ken and Yvonne in our kennel-free home, with time to settle alongside compatible dogs.
Activity & Quiet Rest
Neighbourhood walks or supervised outdoor activity, balanced with indoor rest. We adapt the day to the weather and the dogs in care.
Feedback at Pickup
Hear how your dog ate, rested, walked, and settled so we can discuss what routine suits them.
$50 + GST up to and including eight hours; $60 + GST over eight hours. Agree drop-off, pickup, meals, and any medication needs before the day begins.

- Dogs able to settle between activity and rest indoors.
- Local arrangements
- Marpole, South Vancouver, Oakridge, Kerrisdale, and nearby areas, subject to schedule and logistics.
Not Suitable For
- Different needs
- Constant high-energy play, strong reactivity, guarding, or separation panic may require another care plan.
- Discuss first
- Intense arousal, bite history, trouble resting near dogs, medical needs, and handling sensitivities.
- Individual assessment
- Age and size alone do not decide fit. Compatibility with the current dogs matters.

An Optional Day of Daycare
A paid daycare day can help everyone experience the routine before building a regular schedule or planning boarding.
It is optional and charged at the regular daycare rate. We do not offer familiarization meetings or a free trial.

Routine & Social History
Share age, size, energy, regular routine, preferred days, and comfort with dogs, people, elevators, traffic, and shared indoor spaces.
Admission Requirements
Standard vaccination and Bordetella records are required; veterinarian-approved exceptions are not accepted.
Have vet details, medication needs, and emergency contacts ready to discuss privately.
Handover & Equipment
Discuss location, pickup needs, building access, and elevator comfort. Prepare the agreed harness, leash, food, treats, or familiar comfort item.

Prepare a private two-page summary of your dog’s usual routine and the arrangements the caregiver has confirmed. Use the sections relevant to walking, daycare, boarding or planned transport.
What to put in your care notes
- Usual meals, water, bathroom routine, walks and familiar cues.
- What helps your dog rest, and triggers or handling needs to discuss.
- Health changes or care needs the provider must confirm.
- Owner, backup and veterinary contacts, with the agreed emergency process.
- Both handoffs, approved items, and questions still to resolve.
Example: “Wait at doors means pause before opening. Quiet rest after lunch helps. Please confirm whether the usual routine can be followed.”
