We’re Ken and Yvonne Gardner. We walk dogs in Marpole and nearby neighbourhoods, and we welcome dogs into our Marpole home for daycare and overnight stays. We offer both private walks and small-group walks.

Which service suits your dog?

Private and small-group walks

For group walks, we bring together up to five dogs who are comfortable walking at a similar pace. If your dog prefers their own space, a private walk gives them one-to-one time. A one-hour group walk is $40 + GST. A one-hour private walk is $50 + GST.

We walk in Marpole and South Vancouver. For Oakridge, Kerrisdale or Cambie, send your nearest intersection and preferred time so we can check the route.

Daycare in our home

Your dog spends the day with us in Marpole, with time for activity and rest. Daycare is $50 + GST for up to and including eight hours, or $60 + GST for more than eight hours.

Overnight boarding

Your dog stays in our kennel-free Marpole home. We follow their meal and rest routines and plan walks around their energy. Boarding is $70 + GST per night. From December 20 to January 4, add $10 + GST per night. Pickup after 2 pm on the final day adds $35 + GST. If you need transport, ask us about arrangements separately.

Would your dog feel at home here?

We care for up to three dogs in our home at a time, counting boarding and daycare together. If your dog enjoys familiar company and can settle near other dogs, our home may suit them. We welcome enquiries about small dogs and seniors.

If your dog finds separation difficult, reacts strongly to other dogs or has a bite history, please let us know in your initial enquiry. We’ll talk through what they need and whether we can provide it. For high-intensity off-leash running, large-group play or emergency drop-ins outside our area, you’ll need a different service.

How to arrange care

  1. Tell us what you need. Send your neighbourhood, the service you’re interested in and your preferred dates. For walks, include a time window. For daycare or boarding, include your expected drop-off and pickup times.

  2. Tell us about your dog. Their age, usual routine and comfort around other dogs are a good start. Mention any mobility needs or handling sensitivities you’d like us to know about.

  3. Agree on the arrangements. We’ll discuss suitability, availability and the rate with you before confirming a booking. If we’ll collect your dog from your building, we’ll arrange access privately. Please leave entry codes out of your first message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which neighbourhoods do you serve?

Our local focus is Marpole and South Vancouver, with walking availability in Oakridge, Kerrisdale, Cambie, and nearby corridors. Boarding enquiries are welcome from Metro Vancouver and the YVR corridor. Tell us your location and service needs; pickup or transport is arranged separately.

How many dogs are in a walk or in-home care?

Walks have a maximum of five dogs, with compatibility and handling needs considered first. Boarding and daycare are limited to three dogs total across both services combined in a kennel-free home environment. We are not a high-volume pack-walking service.

Do you offer dog training or grooming?

No. We offer dog walking, daycare and in-home boarding. Our dog-care guides are educational resources, not training or grooming services.

Can you board a cat?

Cat boarding is available on request, subject to suitability and availability. Contact Ken and Yvonne with your dates and your cat’s routine so we can discuss arrangements and a quote.

How do I get started?

Send an availability enquiry with your neighbourhood, schedule, and dog’s routine and temperament. Ken and Yvonne will review fit and current openings with you. We confirm arrangements with you before a place is reserved.

Your Dog’s Photo Albums

Find your dog by name and open their album to revisit a favourite outing or share it with family.

Albums open in Google Photos, with photos arranged from newest to oldest. Open a photo and select Info (i) to see its full date, including the year. Share your dog’s album link with family and friends, or bookmark it to enjoy again.
